Art in Arkansas and the Ozarks is alive and well. The artists in Arkansas have incredible talent. The art ranges from Ozark Mountain countrified style from areas such as Mountain Home and Mountain View to the natural settings around places like Greers Ferry Lake in Central Arkansas to the high class swank of Little Rock.
• Diversified Art Styles Abound
The Art in Arkansas is very diversified. Because of the rich natural settings there are many artists that practice natural photography and art. In addition there are renowed artists that work with sculptures in bronze and other mediums, wonderful pottery, woodworking, stained glass and everything in between.
• The Economy for Art is Not Forgiving
The Arkansas Economy for Art does not seem very forgiving. This website was originally constructed for example, by a wonderful gallery in Heber Springs Arkansas called Seven Springs Art. Seven Springs Art had a wide variety of Arkansas Artwork from just about every medium. Heber Springs is a resort town and enjoys considerable traffic because of its proximity to its world famous wildlife areas, trout fishing on the Little Red River and record fishing in the 40,000 Greers Ferry Lake. Many Art Galleries have opened in the area and most of them have not survived, mostly because the economy does not seem to support Art these days. Seven Springs Art is no exception. After a long struggle to try and keep the doors open, Warren Darden has officially closed Seven Springs Art effective December 31, 2006.
As the orginal webmaster/designer and web hosting service, Adtastic Hosting has decided after discussion with Warren to retain the name Seven Springs Art to try and give local area Artists an opportunity to display their works and to also continue to bring recognition to the wonderful art that is in Arkansas.
